Unplanned things sometimes turn out to be the best...

I use to work at a bank as a merchant teller for a little around five years. It was like the same routine, same people, same thing same thing all the time. I always tried to venture out and apply for other jobs but I was so stable in my position that I was scared to venture out. I traveled so much so I thought it would be amazing to apply for the airlines. Sooo, I got this job as a flight attendant around January of this year but I wasn't on line till April. I think since I was a young girl I've always dreamed of traveling the world, so what better way to do so while working all at the same time. I never really thought I'd actually become one so soon either, it was weird but yet a blessing. I applied last year and did not get it but they emailed me again this year and told me to re-apply and here I am today; a proud flight attendant for US Airways.
Everything is still fairly new to me but I'm learning, living, and loving each and every day of life. I believe my bad days become good days and no matter what I go through at the end of the day it's all what makes me who I am. I can't seem to stop giving thanks for all God has given me! It's far beyond what I need or want but it's all def what I can hang with =)

I have certain days off a month and since my benefits are amazing I don't think I could ever stop planning mini vacays. I'm in love with traveling, it's a way of getting out and relaxing and exploring and going outside of your box. You meet so many new people, you go to places that you didn't even know exist, and you have so much unexpected fun that it begins to make you completely and unconditionally happy. Well, I cant speak for all but I can speak highly on how I feel.

I planned on going to Italy a few weeks ago but since things didn't seem too planned or organized I flipped it around and decided to go back home. I normally go once a year and during the summer. Working at Bank Of America I only had two weeks of vacation a year so it limited me on traveling. I havn't been back home since last May. My brother William (18 years old) hadn't been back in six years, could you imagine? He complained a little because he wanted to go to Italy so bad plus he packed winter clothes only and that Cayman would always be around but to tell you the truth so will Italy and nothing else beats being with family. I live in Arizona but due to work i am based out of Philly. My brother met me in Philly and from there we decided last minute to go to Cayman. I've been so homesick lately having to live in Philadelphia I think coming back home was one of the most amazing decisions slash things that has happened to me this year.

So for starters for those of you who don't know or remember where (my second) home is for me, it's Cayman Islands. It's a tiny island south of cuba and around three hours from Philadelphia, PA. My whole family on my mother and father side both reside in the Cayman. My father still lives there so mainly when I go back home I stay with him. This is my father to left =) I'm a spitting image of him he's just bald haha I love him though to death. I am my fathers daughter for sure =P

Favorite moment! My brothers bonding
they caught a fish and threw it back in the ocean

corned beef and cabbage, dumpling, potato, and ackee and saltfish

I think it's an amazing feeling to come back home and just feel at peace with everything around you. It's  exciting to see family you haven't seen in awhile and see their happy faces, smiles, and excitement they have to see you as well. Family is always first in my eyes. I think it's important to never forget where you come from and no matter what you go through where you came from will always be apart of you.

I'm sure I'll be sharing a lot more of Cayman Islands this year! Hope you enjoyed a few of my pics xoxo

Jovon Butler

Jovon Butler aka Jhovv is the realist person ever! I
love him he keeps it G-status. He is like my real
life Tyler Perry haha. We have this Tyler Perry impersonation laugh that we do together and it's so hilarious but everyone hates slash loves it. Its OBNOXIOUS and RIDICULOUS!

Born May 12, he just turned 24 years old this year. You could say Jovon is a very determined,

confident, hard working individual who loves to have a good time. He's so outgoing but also full of

life and has goals to finish with the hope of one day becoming a Director of Pro NFL cheerleader team.

He graduated from ASU with a bachelor in Business Management.  One word that describes Jovon is "CRAZY" in a good way. He believes in never settling for less then your best!! He keeps me grounded, makes me feel confident, and most of all keeps me from getting into trouble =P

Jessika Julian

Jessika a.k.a jess haha is the mommy of all the girls. My best, my sidekick, my right buttttttttt cheek, my seestahhh, or much known as my betta half or my twin.

Jessika Julian was born April 28, 1990 at approximately 6am in Bakersfield, California. She spent most of her younger years in Bakersfield until her mother moved her and her family to Mesa, Arizona. She is not married, nor divorced but she does have one little girl by the name of Jiggy (her 5 year old pitbull). Who she cannot seem to get enough of (shaking my head). She is a devoted Christian, who continuously strives to build a stronger relationship with God. Her heart is filled on doing new things that make her feel productive daily as in; working-out, hiking, traveling, volunteering with youth, reading or of course getting what we all know is great to do; is sleep! She just finished her last semester as a senior at Arizona State University woooppp so proud of my boo boo.

For anyone who knows her, they will tell you she HATES CHICKEN (but she will eat a mean set of HOT WINGS ONLY) because she claims that with chicken being prepared any other way you can smell how chicken smells which is why she isn't too fond of it. Yes, she's weird! I know ;P

Two years ago she lost her grandmother to liver cancer in a matter of 3 months. Her grandmother had always reminded her how proud she was of her for doing the things she did in life because her grandmother never had the courage to do what she set her mind to simply because she was always scared to do so. Because of her loss she has promised and dedicated herself to living her life to the fullest and upmost way as if it were her last.

Moving forward, in the next 10 years, she plans to graduate college, land a higher-leveled position in her dream career, travel the world, marry, start a family, and start her own small non-profit. She always mentions that when her life here on earth comes to an end, she wants to be remembered for her ambition, loyalty, dedicated to serving her community, and for being a great wife, a best friend and loving mother.

IM BACK

I know.. Don't tell me! Yes, its been awhile. Forgive me! But I'm back and feeling just as good as I was the last time you heard from me. I have so much to catch you up on I don't even know where to start. I've had a change in homes, cars, jobs, the pageant went very well, new love, some traveling of course, and so much more...

Welp, for starters I think I've been so blessed beyond this earth. I cant seem to stop loving life. It's pretty much amazing and I thank the man above me for it all. The blessings keep coming and coming. Don't get me wrong I do have those bad days but hey, the way I see it is that you live and you learn and life still goes on. It's like they say "Such is life" and it could be worse! Plus the bad is what molds you into greatness. I appreciate my stumbles, falls, failures, and mistakes because in the end it just made me into a stronger me then I was yesterday. My life has fully given thanks not only to myself but to those most closest to me; my family but of course my inner circle, my loves, my backbones, my sisters/brother, my roomies, but lastly "My Best Frans" for their love, support, encouragement, and on-going friendship which has kept me grounded in so many ways.

With that being said I think I'll begin my next few blogs by introducing my crazy, sexy, cool (YES! I just said crazy, sexy, cool) friends hahah. Just so that when I am posting blogs in the future you know exactly who i am talking about  =) enjoy my bloggers

p.s excuse all the gramatical errors and my text as if i am texting. I'm horrible at this and I'd rather free write and get it all out! #SorryImNOTsorry if you don't like it ha love ya lots

Shakeira, Shakeira

Hi Everyone!

I'M  Shakeira Ebanks-Lawson but most call me keira.

For starters I'm pretty sure you're thinking whats so special about me? who am I? and why do I think the world wants to hear about me and my voice? To be honest, I am no celebrity and I might not seem as appealing to one as I may to another but everyone is special in some sort of way to someone, somehow. I am not a perfect person but the life I lead is what makes me happy and drives me to be as restless, spontaneous, adventurous, and crazy go-lucky as I was yesterday. I tend to get a lot of personal positive comments by the people I surround myself with and I'd like to share my personal beliefs, interests, ambitions, opinions, and thoughts with anyone and everyone that I can. Its not every day that you experience a life that is as fierce and fearless and I want others to be able to visit and feel that way when they come to read my blog. Embrace who you are! Sometimes people take life entirely too serious or not seriously enough so I want to help others try and find their happy median and feel as amazing as I do about life. I myself at one point had no median and felt I had no one to lean on but now that I have an amazing crowd of supporters behind me, short and long term goals, and a peaceful happiness within myself I feel amazing in my own skin.

I am 22 years young and far from the average one ;). I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and my family on my father and mothers side are originally from the Cayman Islands. For those of you who've never heard of the Cayman Islands it's a British Overseas Territory located in the western Caribbean Sea and south of Cuba. It's an amazing tropical island and ill be talking a little more about that later on. I LOVE to TRAVEL. Even if it meant i'd be spending my last penny on that trip. I love love love my family and my best friends. They mean the world to me. One of my short term goals that I am currently working on is competing in Miss Arizona USA 2013. I competed last year for my first time and I loved it but this year I am trying my best to go just as hard as last year. Miss Arizona USA is comprised of interview, swim, and evening gown and I will also be giving you updates on my progress to meet these goals of performing my best in all three sections. I have a little over two months to continue preparing. If you are interested in helping me in any way as far as sponoring or just #TEAMSHAKEIRA you can add my Facebook to support me =) Support Shakeira Ebanks for Miss Arizona USA 2013

I don't want to take too much of your time with my first blog but thank you so much for coming to visit. Im still new to this blogging world so bare with me. To sum up everything I'm going to open the window of my life and allow you all to live vicariously through me. Hope you're prepared for a wild, fun, and adventurous ride. TU(turn up lol) !! If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask me or approach me about anything =). Until next time my friends.

xoxo Signed yours truly Keira
